Practically Perfect Planner

I’ve been asked a lot about my 2019 planner so I thought I’d take the chance to tell you all about it.

For 2019 I wanted more than a diary. I wanted a planner.

Somewhere to plan my home and work life, my cake and blog schedule, and all the admin in between. Somewhere to write birthdays and anniversaries. Somewhere to write notes and lists. Somewhere to plan goals, meals and holidays.

A place to plan my whole life. Basically.

I’m ever so fussy so I needed a design that I could be in love with all year round. If you don’t believe that “love at first sight” applies to diaries and notebooks, then you should stop reading now.

This year, Plum Paper have ticked all my boxes. I first spotted them on Instagram and fell in love. Based in San Diego CA, each of their products is handmade from start to finish.  You can choose from a gorgeous range of notebooks and planners, or  – most excitingly – you can personalise your planner exactly how you want it with their Interactive Planner Builder.

I chose a 7×9″ planner (handbag size, large handbag!), full week grid, weekly spread, with personalised columns and coloured tabs.

My cover is Marigold Purple but it was very hard to choose – the collections are stunning – Plum Collections, Merry & Bright, Florals, Paint Strokes, Repeat Patterns, Teacher, Geometric, Neutrals and Classics. You can have your name or business name printed on the cover in an endless range of fonts.

I’m a week to view sort of girl, always have been. I like to see the week ahead laid out before me – it gives me a sense of what needs to be achieved! My personalised columns are Me / Him / Birthdays / Cakes / Blog / Admin / Home. But yours can be absolutely anything you like!

It has a nice wide metal spiral coil binding so it lies flat and makes it easy to write on both sides.

You can start and finish the planner whenever you like – 12 up to 18 months. I chose October 2018 to September 2019. I always feel that September is more of a new start for me than January. If you’re struggling to get organised check out our blog tips to help you get on track.

Once you’ve made all these vital choices, you can pick some very useful add ons. Business, lifestyle, educational, notes and list, and delightful stickers.  My choice includes notes and list pages at the end of every month, and of course a few pages of stickers.

Pen loops are the most essential things for a diary or planner. There’s nothing more frustrating that digging around at the bottom of your handbag for that elusive pen that you may or may not find. I ordered my pen loop separately in a matching shade of green.

San Diego is a long way from North Wales so I’m afraid International Shipping applies and possibly import taxes when it arrives. But if you love your personalised planner enough, you’ll do without something else to pay for the shipping!

Plum Paper have a great Referral Program so if you fancy 10% your order, just drop me a message and I’ll send you the link.

Any questions, just ask.

That’s all for now
